Higham
& Rushden U3A Photography Group - Leader Mick Aldridge
The Digital Photography Group meets fortnightly on a
Wednesday morning from 10.00 to 12.00 at Rushden St Peter’s RC
Church Hall.
We are a friendly and lively group which readily welcomes new
members. We range from beginners to very knowledgeable
photographers.
One thing we all find
is that there is always something new to be learned.
Our group uses a range of
cameras from small compact to the DSLR. Over the past year
we have covered many aspects of photography. We have
had speakers, sessions on using the camera- aperture, shutter
speeds, ISO, depth of field etc. We have covered
transferring to the computer, image enhancing and using
photoshop and picasa.
We also have field
trips. (See link page for photographs)
Although we have
a leader, some of the sessions are lead by other members who are
keen to pass on their knowledge to us.
Recently a project was Alphabet
soup. We each took a letter out of a hat and we had to
produce a photograph (out of the box thinking we were told!) for
others to guess the letter. Out of the box?
Well ............
