Monthly Meetings
Make sure you don't miss our interesting lectures on the third Wednesday of the month by putting in your diary 2.00 pm at the Pemberton Centre, HE Bates Way, Rushden, NN10 9YP.   Visitors are welcome at £2 per meeting for a maximum of 2 meetings.

16 November          "From St Dunstan’s to The Cenotaph."           Mr Kevin Varty.

14 December        Changed to:- "Origins of Nicknames"-- A brief look at nicknames for objects , places etc from "Apple-Gatherers to Zippity-Do-Da"
                                                   Speaker Susan Copperwheat.
                                                   Followed by Carol Singing  by Members of Stanwick Hand -Bell Ringers.

25 January (NOTE CHANGE OF DATE)             "A Lady of Letters"                                         Carol Pullen,
U3A member Mrs. Carol Pullen will talk about a little known but important local lady.  Her talk "A lady of Letters " has a surprising revelation.

15 February            "Barnsdale After Geoff"  (1996 to Present Day)  Nick Hamilton, 
 Nick Hamilton will talk about "Barnsdale after Geoff" (1966--to present day) A brief review of his famous father and how he has taken his father's beloved Gardens forward.
 
21 March                "Evacuees"                                                      Jim Wright
Many still can remember of being uprooted from all that was familiar to live with strangers, which often changed their lives for the better, others remember the disruption of taking in lodgers into the homes.
